I have a Yellow Tang that has started acting different. He has started to swim and move very erraticly and has developed a redness in the tail area on both sides. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be the problem? Here are a few pictures to show the reddness of the tail.

If it's not fighting any other fish (or its own reflection in the glass!), it could also be the onset of a bacterial infection which can be dealt with in a quarentine tank with antibiotics. The rest of your tang looks very healthy.

No he is not fighting and he has been in the tank for about 6 months w/ no problem. I guess I will keep observing him and treat him in QT.

What is a good Antibiotic to use for bact infections?

Thanks
