Did some searches on MV and here is what I found....

Marine Velvet or Coral Fish Disease (Amyloodinium ocellatum) is an algal protozoan belonging to a group of single-celled organisms known as the dinoflagellates. This dinoflagellate is related to the dinoflagellate that causes Red Tides. In severe cases, tanks can be wiped out in as little as 48 hours. The life cycle of Marine Velvet is about 6 to 12 days depending on the condition of the water (The warmer the water the shorter the life cycle). Marine Velvet starts off in a free-swimming stage before it attaches to a host fish. Once it is attached to the fish it feeds for several days. Once it is fully mature, they fall off and continue to grow in the substrate. One dinoflagellate can multiply and produce as many as 250 more dinoflagellates.

Symptoms -

* Fish rubbing against objects
* Fish is lethargic
* Grey/white patches are visible on gills, mouth or body of fish.
* Loss of appetite
* Cloudy eyes
* Fish has gold or brown patches on body
* Rough skin
* Fin necrosis

I did notice my domino having what appeared to me as cloudy eyes, and yesterday stated rubbing against stuff, but that is the only symptoms I noticed. I hope i can get the tang & the MB & the yellow tail out int the QT tank, but I tried to catch them several times before with no luch whatsoever. They have an enormous amount of hiding areas and as long as the net is in the water you will never see them. I have 300lbs + of rock in there!

One more ?. If this in fact MV, then why would the 3 fish left not have been effected yet, They are showing none of the symptoms listed?

So if i am reading the lit right this only effects fish correct? My corals and inverts will not be effected right? I just really hate to loose that tang cause I have had it for 3 years now, He is such a beautiful color. But there is no way to catch him, well i am sure there is a way but I dont have the time to sit and wait. I am working on my mastes Degree and doing research plus writing reports and papers...AGGGHHH Maybe he wont get it.....

I hate to say this but if it is velvet everything I have read indicates that the tang will probably get it and if so it will kill him. If it were me I'd really start thinkling about getting all the remaining fish into hyposaline. Even if you have to drain and disassemble the rockwork.

Good luck, hope it works out.

I know that is what I need to do, but I just do not have the time to do it with my schedule. This really sucks! I would think this should last about another few days correct? Then wait it out for what about 6-8 weeks? Should i do water changes during that itme and raise temp?

I agree with Manny's logic. After reading through the posts, I thought of the possibility of a fish toxin introduced by a box fish or cucumber. Any chance of this? Have you tried running carbon?
