White film on my fish

I've been doing hypo treatment for about 2 weeks now, and my fish all got this white film stuff on them, and coming off of them? What the heck is this, and what do I do to treat it?

That would probably be the fishes slime coat. What species of fish are you treating, what disease symptoms are you treating, and what are your water parameters ( temp, pH, etc )?

I think my level smight be up a little because of having no live rock in my tank now...but those levels sholdnt be high enough to cause sevre problems, should they?

I was more interested in your pH level which is fine.
You haven't answered my other questions though.
What species of fish are you treating ?
What symptoms are you treating them for ?

i'm sorry, i completely neglected that part of your question. I'm treating my hippo, and yellow tang for ich. A clown also came down with it, but he's not covered like my two tangs. I'm about 2 weeks into the hypo treatment, and everything was going fine until both of my tangs started picking on my pearly jaw fish. The next day he, and my yellow tail blue damsel were dead the next morning. Also that day, my two flasher wrasses stopped eating and hung out at the bottom of my tank. The next day (today) one was dead and the other doesn't seem too promising. My yellow tang and my percula have the white stuff coming off of them, and the yellow tang is still pretty covered with ich. The clown looks like he's had some skin come off of him, because he's missing part of a white stripe. My blue tang has also stopped swimming around, today, and is just sitting on his side on the bottom of the tank. I put the blue tang, clown, and yellow tang into a qt tank, and put in some anti-biotics. Should i be doing this, or treating with copper instead? I do appreciate you taking time to help me. thanks

It does sound like a heavy investation of Cryptocaryon which can make your fish exude heavy slime and extreme cases slough skin. If this is in fact Crypto remove all your fish to a quarentine tank and treat with copper. You do know that your main tank will have to go fallow for anywhere from 30 to 60 days ( lean towards 60 ) to effectively kill off the rest of the protozoans.

Thanks for your help. The blue tang, percula, and my other flasher wrases have all died now, but my yellow tang looks much happier. All of the fish that died seemed to have died due to breathing difficulty. My 2 chromis and my 2 firefish seem to be great still, but I'm putting them in the qt tank with the yellow tang to treat them with copper and let my display fallow. Darn those firefish hard hard to catch in a 200 gallon. Thanks for the help.

Also check out amyloodinium, an infestation to the gills. It seems to run with crypto.
