My job... wow that's a tough one. I do some freelance writing, been trying to get published for two years now... and other than that, I'm a mom and caretaker of a menagerie.
Cool. I'm working on my freelance biz now. Usually I have avoided it under the rationale that I work all day at the office. I don't want a 2nd job. However things change. Festering in the corporate bosom for 3+ years waiting out the economy/dot.com meltdown in safe happy stable corporate land is getting so ... mind numbing. So freelance has been fun lately. Also, I see a job opening at a particularly prestigious design firm based here in MPLS. Maybe there's a way out. I'm gonna try for it anyhow.
But I'm new to things like managing clients on my own or having to estimate projects (well, that's not so hard since i know the work, etc) ... would you mind if I ever asked you some questions about running your pwn freelance gig? My goal is to eventually move out of the corporate wasteland for good. No more cubicle.
Hwarang.
I spent 15 years in "the real world" making crap products look excellent. Now I get to pick and choose more or less. Happy to help. Send me a p.m. or email if interested.
