Red Sea Berlin HOB

I've been looking into the Red Sea Berlin Hang On The Back or the Red Sea Berlin Turbo Hang On The Back Protein Skimmers. Does anyone have one of these or any berlin series protein skimmer? i would like to hear some opinions on it before i purchase.

i have a berlin.. after 6months i upgraded to lifereef.. berlin's been in the junk pile since.. IMO do it right the first time.. spend the money.. otherwise it's gonna cost ya even more after buying junk the first time

I had the sump version of that skimmer. To be honest, it wasn't great - I've since thrown it out.

In a small tank it might be fine - I'm thinking a 50gal or smaller.

I know the promotional material claims alot, but I bet the marketing department have never seen one going

I have one and I also have a sea clone 100. I would take the sea clone over the prizm anyday. (they both suck but what are you going to do?)

I have the turbo HOB which I converted to a sump model. I cannot wait to get a real skimmer. I plan on a euro reef in the near future.
