How does one acquire a mantis shrimp?

I've found exactly one online store (liveaquaria.com) that sells them and they're always "out of stock" ... ?

Anyone got a mantis problem? I'll take your scrimp, depending on species.

I can get them all the time. But the last one I had was from a fellow reefer who is nice enough to ship it to me out of kindness.

There's a gorgeous Peacock Mantis at Aquatic Gallery in California. I'd say it's a good 7-8". I'm sure he'll ship it to you. (408) 262-3400.
