I'm planning on seting up a mantis only tank in a 20 gallon acrylic I have laying around within the next month or so.

I will post pics as soon as it's setup. If anyone here has a mantis please post your pics here so we can see

Here is Banstyle the mantis shrimp, she is a juvenile Neogondactylus wennerae I got from a reefer who ordered some TBS LR. She lives in a 5.5g aquarium and likes to eat nassy snails. Her tankmates are two clumsy electric blue leg hermit crabs who knocked over too many corals in my larger nano reef. She's super inquisitive, and already classicly conditioned Pavlovian style to come out and sit atop her rock waiting for food when I lightly tap the glass. Sometimes when I read on the couch, I look over and see her watching me. Also, she has quite the network of caves and tunnels built into the rock and the substrate under the rock. FUN!

Here she is, posing for the camera all unabashed and whatnot.

Now I just need to find me a mantis, I'm setting up my tank this weekend. Picked up my tank and lights today. Plan on taking some rock from my reef tank. Already have a spare titanium heater. Just need a mantis......

Your mantis has by far the best coloration of any I have seen online yet...

here is my 6" Odontodactylus scyllarus.

notice the hole he put in the crawfish's head... this strike killed the crawfish instantly.

And my 3" Gonodactylaceus ternatensis

Hwarang, thanks. btw im slylie from grimreefers and reefcentral, just using a covert nick

ecugman, in my fuge as of now, ive built him a 30g acrylic tank with 10g sump.. but i had to tear it down and build a second drain as i allmost had my fuge on my reef overflow because i had no backup drain and it got clogged.. (lucky for me, i was right next to it)
