I have noticed on the glass of my tank, white (almost clear) bugs about 1-2mm long. There are lots of them. I have no idea what they are or what harm they will do. They look similar to mites? Please help me as to what I need to do.
thanks

Those are copepods. They're all good, in fact, they're a sign of a healthy aquarium. You may also see larger bug like things called amphipods. Also good. They come in on your live rock.

Thanks for the advice. This tank was my reef tank, but I stripped all the rocks & fish out to move them to a large tank. The tank now houses a Snowflake Moray Eel and a Volitan Lionfish and I have only just noticed these mites. I am guessing that these were controlled previously by the reef inhabitants and clean up crew.
Is there anything I can put in the tank to control them as there are LOADS, or will they just die off?

They'll keep reproducing as long as there is food and good water quality.

If they really bother you, could probably kill them by removing the fish and treating the tank with a dose of copper medication,, I wouldn't bother though.

Yeah, I wouldn't bother. I suppose you could put a mandarin in there for temporary *dons flame-suit* but I wouldn't recommend it.

They won't harm anything, even if you do think they are unsightly. I rather enjoy watching them swarm around.
