I went to the LFS today and they unloaded some corals that weren't getting the TLC they deserved. I got a Blastomussa Wellsi for $15; a flowerpot (half eroded) for $2; a half eroded red openbrain for $8. A bubble coral half eroded for $2; Elegance coral 3/4 eroded for $6; and some sort of maze brain (green and red) for $4. I figured I will probably lose the elegance and the bubble, and possibly the flowerpot. But I fed the bubble, the open brain, and the blasto brine and mysis tonight and they all ate. I have decreased my flow and put them in low flow areas of the tank so as not to stress the tissue on them now. The way I see it, I still got a deal even with the blasto, cause it is perfeclty fine except two heads are dead.

Does anyone think I have a chance saving any of these, or was it money down the drain (I hope not, and I am pretty sure the blasto will make it)? Anything else I can do to bring them back. I wish the elegance would come back, but I know it is a slim chance.

Blasto are hardy, and if you don't stress it too much, it should made it... but I really need to see it to make a stronge opinion...

As long as you don't give them any incentative to continue to do this to the coral, the price you paid should not be a big issue.

I'll try to get some pics up in the next few days, problem is I don't have a digital. I know people that do, so it's just a matter of getting time to do it.
