Is Marine Goop safe to use as a sealant?

I'm building a skimmer for my system and I need to use a sealant for the PVC pipe fittings I am using. Does anyone know if Marine Goop sealant is safe for use in a reef system? If not, any suggestions? Thanks.

I think it states on the bottle not to be used in an aquarium.

Use teflon tape for threaded connections, PVC primer and cement for slip fittings.

I use marine goop on the outside of fittings, but I haven't used it on anything inside the tank.

Are you gluing PVC to PVC or PVC to another type of plactic?
For PVC to PVC just use PVC cement.
For PVC to any other surface use a 2-part clear or white marine epoxy cement (available at Menards, Home Depot, or any other hardware store). It dries rock solid and is nontoxic to the animals.
When threading things you can either use teflon tape or tefe past for plastic pipe (yellow and white tube or bottle). Or if you do not intend to remove said threaded part for a long time you can always silicone it.
