I think I killed it ???

Please help I think I justed killed one of my bigger shrooms All this talk of spliting them I had on in a crevase so I went to use the scissors to cut the cap off only I didn't go low enough and when I cut what I got looked like a donut I'm very embarrased. If anyone can tell me :?: Did I kill the cap or should I leave it in my tank and what about the base and mouth I left behind will that grow a new cap or is it dead :?: :?: I feel really stupid but any advise would help.

No you didn't kill it. Now you'll have 2 shrooms. Leave the base as is and attach the cap to your rock either by cramming part in a crevice, reefsafe epoxy, toothpick, etc and they'll both grow.

Only one problem I cut the cap in half I put them both on the same rock will they still be o.k :?:

Yes.
You could cut the cap in 20 pieces and all 20 would grow into new mushrooms.

No worrys man,shrooms are very tough.I can assure you however you slice em or dice em they will grow back in multitudes!!!!!!!!!!GUARNTEED FROM MY EXPIERENCE!!

How do you get the caps or cut pieces to stay on rockwork while it attaches it's self?

An epoxy type glue. I guess even a needle or such will work.

shoot ive used super glue and my wifes nail glue to tack down polyps and stuff..
