In my on going battle, I need to get suggestions as to the best place to buy aiptasia eating peppermint shrimp online?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not to rain on your parade, but I spent about 130 bucks putting them in my tank before i gave up on them.I never noticed one bit of difference.I`ve had the best luck kalk bombing and using joe`s juice.I use an insulin syringe and pull the needle out with pliers.I`m still working on the problem, but for the first time I feel like i`m winning.

I'm doing the kalk thing too, which is effective, but they eventually come back. I figure I'm missing some where I can't see or reach them and that helps them come back.
It would be great to have a biological solution. I'm willing to give it a try. Maybe I might get lucky.
Where did you get your's?
Anyone else?

A few months ago I had a problem with aiptasia and didn't want to mess around with the kalk injections of anything else. So I went out and bought two pepermint shrimp, and within two month they had cleared the entire tank of all aiptasia and I havn't had any come back since. I was really impressed. I say give them a shot before you try anything else.

I have two peppermint shrim in my 75 and I noticed that they eat the appendages off and leave the disc. I warms my heart to think the little buggers are suffering before they die.

What about checking out a LFS? As you can read above, peppermints are funny...some enjoy aiptasia, and some don't. I purchased a few peppermints at my LFS after watching them consume aiptasia over a three day period. I know I got lucky walking into this situation, but ya never know...it might be worth a trip. Good luck whatever you decide.

Reeftopia is where I buy a lot of my stuff. GREAT prices and have never had an issue. I think the peppermints are $3 if you but 6 or more.

I'm looking for them myself. eTropicals has them on sale for 2.60 or something, I think. I, however, haven't had good luck buying peppermints from them in the past. One of the two that I bought molted in the bag and then dissapeared shortly after going into the tank. They were both TINY! To thier credit, eTropicals is very good at replacing animals that died shortly after arriving. They don't make a big deal of it and don't require you to send the bodies of the dead animals like some other places. And THEY pay the shipping.
