Looking for some input on tang combos for stocking a 300G long. Tank has live rock and will have some mushrooms, zoos and some lower light easier to keep corals. The tank will also include a variety of community type fish; chromis, clowns, golbies ect.. and a cleaner crew.

Please post a list of compatible combos. I guess the number of tangs on the list will depend on what kind of tangs. I am thinking around 3-5.

Any other info needed please ask.
Thank you kindly.

Ryan,
I have 6 tangs in my 300-gallon cylinder tank. I have a yellow, purple, blue hippo, blonde naso, powder brown (A. japonicus), and Ctenochaetus striatus. (middle right of photo.) They can all swim laps, but always get together and compete when I feed. The purple, yellow, hippo, and naso are all pretty good size fish. I rarely see these guys scrapping with each other, besides the occasional display. It may be too many tangs to please some, but it does makes an exceptional display.

Justreefit,
This tank is pretty unique and was expensive to build. I bought the acrylic cylinder and put the bottom in myself. Seems like the cylinder with no bottom was around $4K with shipping. This tank is 44.5" in diameter. Cost can vary depending on wall thickness. Getting this size through doors can be problematic. Mine sits on an industrial stength turntable that was custom made. (I have a patent on rotating aquariums # 5704313) I also had to custom design a rotating seal in the drain line. It has a remote sump and filter system, and also has a 55-gallon refugium tied to the same sump, but the refugium looks more like an aquarium, as I pump water up from the sump and let it drain back into the sump. This tanks also features an automatic glass cleaning sytem which is out of this world. 8) Yes acrylic will scratch and I've got a few on this one. They can be buffed out, but the glass cleaner keeps mine so clean you hardly notice them. This same tank was actually shown at MACNA XII in Ft. Lauderdale in 2000. It was also shown at a couple of the AZA shows. It is permanently setup in my retail store Fishey Business now. I've been a little lazy on water changes and such, but it is looking pretty good despite the neglect. Here is one more photo.
