Set up my new AquaC Remora skimmer this w/e. I sunk my Maxijet 1200 pump approx 8"-10" to hide behind my liverock. I'm thinking that may not have been a good idea now. Will this negatively impact the efficency of the skimmer? Thanks.
I did the same with my Pro w/ Mag3. I'm sure it cuts down a little on the efficiency because the organics concentrate on the surface film. But with good water flow turning the water, you will not notice a difference. Plus the tank looks a lot better with the pump hidden.
