Algae: A Problem Solver Guide, Sprung....

I finally had a chance to read this book.

Unfortunately to be honest I really didn't learn anything new from this book at all. I guess I'm just spoiled by the information I have recieved from RDO.

For the price its a cool book, just wish I would have learned a few things that I might not have already known. Anyone else feel the same?

The hobby makes it impossible for me to afford reefkeeping books and the stuff at libraries are pretty outdated. So I guess I feel the same.

With the great knowledge for free on the internet and the people here on RDO always willing to help me along the way I have gotten away without having to buy books.

So I figured I would buy a few books to contribute money to the hobby and the great authors out there. Unfortunately with this book I pretty much knew everything that was in it for the most part except alot of the specific names of algaes and what not.

I think it is still a good book and a must have for newer hobbyist.....

420: I had the same exact experience with the book....learned absolutely nothing. Perhaps it would be good for a beginner. Like you said, the price wasn't bad ....Lord knows I have wasted more money than $11(cost) in this hobby. I just added it to my library
