Ok, I don't need guaranteed, I just need "most likely".
I tried mithrax crabs, putting in 4 big ones. Within minutes they started munching on the caulerpa. Soon all my intakes were clogged with fragments, and I thought they were going to do the job. Within a couple of days all 4 moved to the caulerpa-free side of the tank where they eke out a living from the valonia there.
I think the evil red eyed crab (that I have only seen once) may live over on the caulerpa side and scared them away...
I'd also recommend trying Siganus uspi (Fiji Rabbitfish). While I haven't seen it eat caulerpa, IME, it devours anything green. In fact, it's the only fish I've ever seen eat bryopsis algae.
