I will be upgrading my tank from current 26g BF to a 110g tall, Will be adding my 45lbs live rock and 20lbs live sand to another 100lbs of base rock and 40lbs southdown. Most of the other equipment will be new (or at least cleaned used).

Question is: will the tanks cycle again or will maturing time be needed?

Thanks - Rick

Your 45 lbs of LR should speed up the cycle considerably. Test just to be sure, though. Congrats on the upgrade!

it could, then again it may not. But any cycle should not be as deap as those initial cycles on the original setup.

And of course, If you establish thriving plant life, any cycles should be unnoticable.

I have upgraded to larger tanks in one day a couple of times and have not had any problems.

I tried to use as much of the water from the old tank as possible
