Ok.. Maybe I got a bit ahead of myself.. but here's the deal.

I picked up my first coral today...woohoo.. its a chunk of LR about 2x2 covered in zoos. Question is this... what do these things eat haha... should I target feed? Also got a few small pretty little dusters thrown in for good mesure.. what a bout these guys?

Thanks for the help!

My hermits ate all the tiny featherdusters that came on my live rock. They left my shrooms and stars alone though.

I got rid of all but one of the hermits. The one I kept was from the original crew, and the only one to survive the tyrany of a cocoa damselfish :D

Currently I have gobs of snails (nassarius and turbos) an emrald crab, just cause he was cool, and a pepermint shrimp that has grown at a suprising rate. Everyone gets along now, and random homocide has ceased in the tank :D

the addiction has begun...

Depending on your setup, zoas probably don't need to be fed anything. They live mostly off dissolved nutrients in the water from old food and poop, and their symbiotic, photosynthetic zooxanthellae. Same goes for duster, except the photosynthesis part... Many will endorse target feeding too, but it's probably not necessary.

let's see some pics.

Here's an updated pic of my work in progress... it's slow.. but it's really coming along nicely.

Like the old man on the mountain told me..."Make haste slowly"
