Best Protein Skimmer

Want to add a protein skimmer to 225 reef. I have a miracle mud refrugium. Need an external skimmer and pump. Any suggestions?

I have an aqua C EV120 - to be honest I would not buy another aqua C. It is quiet but it needs to be cleaned constantly - to much maintenance to keep it producing foam... I have tried every adjustment possible but no matter what I do once it gets a little crude built-up on the collection area it quits producing skimmate.

I think euro-reefs are the best. Aqua c comes in a close second and precision marines.

I prefer big beckets, I had a HSA 1000 on my 240g it handled the load very well, it now runs my wifes 75g predator tank (couple triggers)

Doing it again, I would go with a large aerofoamer

she hand feeds them, we will upgrade to a 180g when they get larger, the equipment was oversized to handle a larger tank.
