Montipora problems

While I was sticking some zoos to a rock tonight I accidently brushed up against a few of my montipora digitas tips. Soon after they started to release some sort of stringy thread-like stuff. Will my monti die or is it just trying to protect itself?

Yeah it is just releasing some mucous. Monti's are a very tough coral even if you broke the end right off it would be fine.

Hi, i do that all the time, i just get the peice and frag it to a small rock and sell it to the LFS.
