Okay, in an earlier thread I posted that I was going to set up a 29 I had laying around for my SigOther for Christmas. Well, I also have a 72 AGA bowfront w/durso overflow and stand I brought new from a guy earlier this year sitting empty in the garage. He only used it for a show, then broke it down. The 72 was intended to go in the living room once it is finished being remodeled next spring.

Tim got wind of what I was doing with the 29, and casually mentioned the 72. I said it was for the living room, and he told me that we could just put a 150 gallon in there, and would I set up the 72 for him in the office?????

8O Yeah sure hunny! :lol:

Okay, to the problem(s):

1. I need skimmer suggestions, I've never had a sump to work with so I have no clue about which models are best.

2. I bought the tank/stand/pump/pipes/glass sump etc. from a local reefer here, and it's all apart. I have zero clue how to assemble it other than a drawn diagram so any advice in working with PVC or links would be appreciated. I'll post pics of the parts if I get really lost.

I'm thinking of mostly LPS with (maybe) an anemone and clowns so my next "issue" will be lighting. But that's another thread.

Thanks in advance.

Tracy

I've used both the beckets and the euro. I think for a tank of that size a euro would be better. I have an ES5-2 model that I will be using on my 60. The ES5-3 would be a good choise for a 72. If you want to go becket a myreefcreations.com MR-1 would be a good one to use. I had a MR-2 on my 110 and it did a great job.

Actually, I'm sincere.

And my feelings are hurt.

Okay, that last part was smart@ss, but I love everything about starting a new tank!
