Am going to be upgrading my return pump and was wondering which of the many externals to go for, i have an Iwaki 30RLXT on the return at the moment, and a 40 RLT on my skimmer, they are excellent pumps.

I have heard good things about the Sequence pumps and have read some write-ups on the PanWorld/Blueline HD Pumps which also sound good.

My overflows will handle about 2000 GPH, so i'm shooting for around the 1800/1900 GPH return pump, just after some feed back from owners of great pumps

Thanx in advance

Anton :D

Anton,

I hear good stuff about Sequence pumps too.

I'm going to try out a Quite One 6000 that is on special with F&S for <$100. It is only rated at 1500 gph (less at a 5 ft head) but maybe you should consider 2 pumps instead of one large one.

Let me know id you want to sell an old pump, I'll need one for my skimmer, and I'm in fairfax.

I just got a PanWorld 50X (similar to the Iwaki 30RXLT) but I've not used it for any length of time yet. Build quality seems excellent. I've test run it and I'm amazed at how much water this thing moves with so little noise (and not much power consumption on my watt meter). Time will tell.;)

I tried one of the new style Quiet Ones out as a return on a small tank (I think it was a 3000 or a 4000 can't remember which). IMO it was not all that quiet and it burned out in about a month. Prolly just a bad pump, but it didn't leave a very good impression...

I personally really like my Dolphin Ampmaster 3000. Super quiet(wouldn't even know it was there) and quite efficient. I have heard nothing bad about the Sequence pumps bit I just have no personal experience with them.
