Is it Safe to Use Rubbing Alcohol to Clean a Glass Canopy?

I read somewhere that you can use rubbing alcohol to clean off the salt creep on a glass canopy because it will evaporate immediately.

Has anyone tried that? Is it safe?

I've tried washing the canopy, using a razor blade etc., to scrape it off, but I just never get it completely clear.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Scrape off the salt creep with your blade and wipe with a mixture of a little bit
of plain white vinegar mixed with water. Wipe dry. It'll be crystal clear.
