I have a 92g corner tank.... i.e. the front glass is curved. Can anyone make a suggestion for what I can use to scrape the algae off? Do cleaning magnets work on curved glass?

Thanks,
Lonnie

Id use a credit card, come to think of it there are some abrasive pads you can get that would work great on curved glass, due to the squidgy nature of the pad.

Algae magnets generally don't work very well on bowfronts since the majority of the abrasive part of the magnet doesn't touch the glass (only the edge does). This varies depending on how tight the curve is.

Razorblades or the metal kent pro-scraper used with a horizontal motion would also be options.

I agree, credit cards are good. Actually I think I use my library card as it has the perfect flexibility. I also use a razor blade on coralline or the tough little dots of green algae I get that are hard to remove. If you use a razor blade use a new one each time (and go horizontally with the curve) as a rusty one can scratch the glass.

I also use an algae magnet on my bowfront, but it is a bigger tank and I imagine the curve is softer than on the 92 corner.
