Does anyone keep there dead fish (freeze or dry) like me?

yeah... i started out with one of those, too. man, it was a bugger to get to work right. thanks to some little angels, i upgraded my skimmer. it made all the difference.

i have one of those clown fish clips, too!

I might be getting another one tommorow. I will tell you guys what I get and y'all can tell me what you think of that one. I have a friend who is getting out of the salt water business because she is too busy with her kennel ranch thing and she is selling me her stuff.

Back to the thread, why would anyone want to "dry" and keep the dead fish?

I froze a dead sea star once. It had imploded in a gruesome manner and I had to show my LFS (they had no clue about it). Normally if I don't know the fish well I just throw it down the garbage disposal (let the stoning begin). If I've had it for a while...well actually I haven’t lost a fish that's been in my tank for a month or more *Knocks on wood*
I guess I'd bury it because it's a pet by then. And no I haven’t lost many fish.


I'd say the weirdest thing I've done so far is dry an Emerald crab I had. It sits on my bookshelf on top of a shell looking picturesque. It used to beg and steal food from the fish. I kept him as a reminder that if you beg and steal from others instead of working hard (like his companion that is still alive) you'll end up dead...and dried on some weirdo's shelf
