Fish that is, and why is it your favorite?

Mine is my Achilles tang, love tangs in general but this one is striking and their diffuculty to keep is the reason i have one. Had him for almost 3 years now, had a bunch of ich problems with him but he pulled through and has been great ever since.

Here he is about 6mos ago when the tank was still FOWLR:

Mines a porcupine puffer, I no longer have one anymore cause I moved to the US and went for a 29gal reef, but they have such great personalities. And they remind me of ET.. :)

My Fuzzy Lion. He is very responsive to me and loves to eat. I think he would eat himself to death if i let him. I have only had him for abvout a month now and he has already shown growth. Second is my Foxface for the same reasons. I have had him over 2 years now.

I like the fuzzy dwarf as well. How much are you feeding yours Bang? Mine gets 2 or 3 live grass shrimp a day. They are a good inch long each but he never looks fat.

I like the marine betta (comet) also; mine is apparently mad at me for the time being...

I gotta agree that the Achilles Tang is one awesome fish. I don't have one but plan to have on once my 300G dream tank is complete.

I can't pick just one, impossible.

Undulatus trigger B. undulatus
Huma huma trigger R. aculeatus
Minuatus grouper C. miniatus
Spotted grouper E. ongus
Argus grouper C. argus

The groupers are stunning, intelligent, hardy fish - as are the triggers. Both groups have tons of personality.

Do you have the Betta in a reef Dan? If so is it in with shrimp? I always wanted one but i didn't want to lose my peps and cleaner shrimp.

Yep, he's in the reef. I had a few peppermint shrimp in there and the black-capped basslet eliminated all but one or two that got two big for him. That one or two is still there, but very reclusive.

He eats grass shrimp (same size as a small pep) with gusto.

Do you raise the grass shrimp or buy em? Are they nutritious? How big are they? The frozen brine i was using i dont think it packed any nutrient punch, and i dont think the frozen mysis i have now are that much better.

I collect the srimp during trips to cape cod mass or long island, NY.

They are probably about an inch or so long, and I collect them with a dip net or seine. I keep them in buckets and small aquariums, and also have a bunch of them living in my sump.

They probably are quite nutritious when first collected, and later on I give them good flake food before feeding to the fish.

The Centropyge angels are also great little fish.

I think C. potteri is my favorite as far as coloration goes.

So did the betta get any of them? or did the basslet beat him too it?
