Coral vital anyone?

I was just wondering does anyone here use coral vital in the tanks. I have read a lot of threads and I have not seen anyone mention this product. If you do use it do you reccomend it? If not why don't you use it. :roll: I have read the bottle and it almost sounds like snake oil. I dose all the normal things. I was thnking of buying the bottle. It is pricey though. I don't believe if it is expensive it always works Help me out guys. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't buy it, or anything that makes massive claims without even listing the ingredients. If you do a search on 'weiss' you will find that most people think it is snake oil.

The weiss stuff has "secret" ingredients. hats a red flag. I have learned over the years that thier are no substitutes for good water, kalk, and plenty of patience.

Anything else is kinda dicey.

I tried it a long time ago. It did nothing for my corals. The best thing for me is normal water changes evey 1-2 months about 25% with only buffer and calcium additions every couple of days. I occasionally dose iodine (because I have a big bottle of it and can't resist the temptation to add it) but to be honest the only thing that any supplements do itskick start algae.

I tried them on and off for an extended period of time. I finally quit because I do not notice any differences.

Anyway, it will screw up your pH. It smells like rancid apple juice too !

I tried it and found it to do nothing. I got better results from bi-weekly water changes.

That's what I was thinking. I didn't trust it I was just making sure I wasn't the only one who thought it. I was just curious becase no one mentioned using it. I like the regular water changes and additives that have proven results. Thanks guys I thought I was right in my thinking.
