Hi! I'm currently using a "u-tube" overflow box with a 12" deep external chamber, and am looking for an alternative design. All I find in searches are the CPR "continuous siphon" overflows which have similar size characteristics to what I'm looking for, but I don't trust the siphon model. Does anyone use one of these CPR deals? Any problems with it?
What about other designs? Drilling isn't an option, and I need ~900 GPH flow, but only a single drain (the CPR would have to be a double to give me that flow). I'm looking for something with less behind-the-tank depth (9" max), and preferably less in-the-tank presence. I'm willing to go up to 12" wide in return for the lost volume elsewhere. Does anything like this exist?
I know I'm asking for a lot, but a guy can hope right? TIA for any help!
