Dying turbo snails

Yeah, FWIW, I was just in an LFS yesterday and I asked if they had any turbos. They said that they usually don't carry them, because the temperature of most of their reef tanks was too high.

Wish I could help here. I added 10 turbos to my 55g about a year and half ago. After some initial losses, 6 remain and have trippled in size. temp is 82-85. Tank is maintained by macro algae and crushed oyster shells. Nitrates were high until about two months ago. And are now 0.0. No water changes, no doseing. Calcium 400ppm alk ~2.5 meg/l. I also have some hermits and at first had some starfish which did attack the snails. Especially the green bahama starfish.

so perhaps in all that there is some reason mine are still with me.
