I am setting up a Oceanic 92 gal reef ready corner tank. I am putting the sump in the basement. It is 12' from top of tank to the shelving that the sump sits on. There is also 35' of run from one room to the next. I have plumbed everthing with 1" pvc, but the drain is slow. I was looking at changing over to 1 1/2" spa tubing to replace the 1" pvc drain. The spa tubing is very ridged and will be able to with stand bends with out kinking like vinyl tubing. My return pump is a Iwaki MD 100 RLT which is 1200 gals/hr at 28' head pressure. When I run the tank now I have shut back the pump by more than half output.

My question: Does any know if the spa tubing is reef safe?
