1/2 black pygmy angel at my hydroids?

K..got a 1/2 black pygmy angel. Beautiful lil guy and a real character (he'll even eat from my hand)
He picks at the rock munching and such and I didn't think anything of it, but I've now noticed I have *NO* isopods in the tank anymore..had hundred before his addition. Also, had a nice chunk of LR that was covered in a carpet of small hydroids. Noticed 2 days ago that there isn't a single one on their anymore. Water params haven't changed and all is well...

Did he eat em all or is something else to blame that I should be aware of???

Since adding my flame angels I have noticed much much less in the way of pods in my tank.

my flame ate my new hydroids, what the heck,,,, he is quite beautiful and he has not bothered anything else.

Shouldnt everyone be happy the hydroids are getting eaten? After all dont they spread fast and sting corals to take the space?

My "rusty" angel seems to enjoys SPS polyps on occasion as well as lots of picking at the rock. I still have lots of pods, sponges, and such also.

Are you sure you mean isopod? Not copepod?

Diff. type of isopod.....these look kinda like tiny shrimp (1/4")
Just found most of em are hiding under shells and whatnot during the day...dunno why they aren't coming out in day now. They used to be all over the tank at all times.

And the hydroids weren't bad for me I don't have corals except for some mushies sitting far away from em. Reason I liked em is cuz some of em were juvenile upside down jellies -- i'd just suck em off the rock and drop em in my jelly tank.
