Only one objective enough to be worth cracking the cover. Hobby books are books written by hobbyists who know little if nothing more than the people they are selling to.

A good book for new reefers, basic info on the corals most often in the LFS.

My top five faves. I just got the Calfo book, I am really enjoying it. I really liked "breeding the orchid dottyback", that's a real good read too.

I like Delbeek and Sprung, and their 3rd book should be out soon. Not a fan of Bournemann's book.

Calfo and Fenner I like, although I frequently feel that are reiterating rote stereotypes rather than really investigation an issue; that's fine for beginner books though.

Nielsen & Fossa are great is you just have to look at a reef book; happens to me all the time.

Scott Michaels books are great also; for fish they are tops.
