Thanks for the link!

After four failed DIY designs using a venturi pump, I went back to basics and build several air driven skimmers. I have to say that I love them. I am looking for a better source for wooden air diffusers where I can buy them in box lots instead of individually.

I have three air driven skimmers going on different tanks and they will go through 4 diffusers every two months. I am going to add a fourth and fifth air driven skimmer soon because I build a too small one for my 150 and I need one on my 90.

The one on my 150 is kicking butt, but I need some more skimming. I saw the first GHA clusters among the brown algae on the back wall of the tank this week. 8O

It is about time, since this tank turned 4 months old yesterday, but I wanna head it off at the pass.

IMO, the Euro-Reefs are the best, but they're "roomy" ...hard to fit under the stand. The Aqua C is good too, but you need the bubble box for the return.

BTW, here are the air pumps that Dan is talking about (only the smaller units would be applicable for most of us, unless you plan on building a skimmer for SeaWorld  )...

If you consider that the smallest of these units could potentially supply about as much air as a Beckett injector on a good pump while using just 16 watts, that's pretty impressive! The next one up could potentially be comparable to a dual Beckett setup (running on a big pump) while consuming just 34 watts!!

Yeah, the LT15 will blow all the water out of a 4 inch skimmer! I'm setting up a 6 inch to see if I can run it full out there.
