Hi everyone,
got this question to ask you ppl, anyone knows how to maintain their BTA still with its bubble tip? if so how to? like maybe wat type of supplement to give them? any advice regarding this will be appreciated thax!!! :D

I truly don't know, as everything I've read says that sometimes they loose that bubble tip effect.

You can try running a search on that and see what's been posted prior.

done some searching already, most of which they say is bout your water quality but didn't specify wat. or maybe anyone know that if any supplement could benefit them? if so pls post it here so that everyone not only be could have a look thax!!! :D

Actually the current thinking ( it has been for a while) is that having a clown fish host contributes to E. quads keeping their bubbles.
My theory is also the rate of flow, water chemistry and diet contributes greatly to it, the more flow the less likely it will keep its bubbles, but I'm still trying to prove this.

yup having a clownfish does seem to make the anemone keep its bubbles but it is more like that clownfish will increase the chance of the anemone reproducing instead. anyway thax and hope that we can continue this discussion or maybe when you have prove your theory show us some pics :D

does calcium has anything to do with preserving the bubble tip? cos I have read something about adding calcium for bubble tipp anemones.

I believe Clownfishes (by Wilkerson) suggests some anecdotal evidence that BTAs that are more frequently fed tend to have more pronounced bubbles that those that are not (deliberately) fed or not fed as frequently.

BTA's to my knowledge loose their "bubble" tips when they are hungry. Everytime you see it with it without bubble tips, feed it.

i have a clownfish in my bta and haven't seem a bubble tip in the almost year that i've had it. so i don't buy that theory. just my experience though.
