I've decided that my options are;

1. Aqua C EV180 with Mag 7

2. PM Bullet 1 with sedra 9000

3. ETSS evolution 500 or maybe the Reef devil 23"

all good skimmers. Do you think they would all be OK for my 125?

Barr Aquatics has a great skimmer design. If I ever go with a larger tank than my 75, I'll probably order a custom built skimmer from them. Also, my husband does nothing but go on about how wonderful his home tanks are and the fact that my lfs uses their skimmers.

Good stuff if you can catch him at a time of year when he's building.

The Barr looks good. But it's a little to expensive for me.

The skimmers I picked are capable of fitting under my cabinate and will fit in my 20 gallon sump. They are also in the price range I want.

Do you think the ETSS ReefDevil Deluxe(23" tall model) is big enough for my 125?

I just got a SEACLONE skimmer in Feb from my LFS .. rated fro 150Gal, (I have a 55).. I also think I had alot of protien as there was a fog on the water surface.. anyways.. it works great..
Does anyone have an opinion of seaclone.. I think they make my powerheads 900 & 1200 too

Oh wow.. um.. I dunno how to say this.

You seem to really be happy with your seaclone skimmer, but that skimmer really is among the worst on the market. It's too small for your tank (regardless of it's rating, trust me on this) and they are not worth the trouble you are going to have with it over time.

If you really want a good hang on skimmer, look into the Aqua C Remora. It's more expensive than the seaclone, but it really is worth every penny.

The AquaC EV-180 would be a good fit for a 125.

If you go with it, consider a Sen700 instead of a Mag7...AquaC states in its directions (for whatever reason) that the Mag7 is about 5% less efficent than a Sen700.

So what do you think Dan....go with a 180 with a larger pump? Or do you suggest a different skimmer?

I bought a Aqua-C 180 a couple months ago - 90g display w 30G refugium. Very happy - it kicks it for sure. Should easily handle 125.
