Depends on how small. Super tiny can be fed brine shrimp or baby guppies and weaned onto frozen mysis shrimp. Bigger ones can be fed ghost shrimp and weaned onto krill or other larger shrimp. When it's full grown you can feed it a whole tiger prawn. And they do get full grown fast, within a year and a half or so.

Bottom line is it should be fed saltwater fish/crustacean flesh long term. Don't be tempted to feed it freshwater feeder fish all the time. Very bad for its liver.

heres the deal with lions. If you dont get them started training to take frozen food, they wont live long. Start off feeding it mollys. (NOT goldfish), try your damndest to wean it on frozen sand eels, silversides, squid, SOMETHING with some nutritional value.

oh yeah, make sure you vary what you feed it. Dont constantly feed it the same thing or you will kill its liver. Vary its diet as much as possible.
