I would like someone to help me optimize my bullet 1 skimmer. I just finished cleaning it (including the injector).
I was using it with VERY LITTLE AIR before, and cranking up the elbow(yes I know, I am getting a gate valve) to make the water level very high
so the foam would collect. From what I understand this is wrong.
The water level should be about 1 inch into the reactor. Thing is before I was getting nice uniform bubbles rizing up, begining small and getting bigger and then popping, creating another layer of foam uptop. Now ,after i followed their instructions, it looks like boiling water (i just started it like this). This "boiling water" is bubbling violently 1 inch into the reaction chamber. Will I get the dry foam up top that Im looking for? Is this right?
Air is at around the 5 oclock position(a little less), but its ALOT more than what I had before. Is this what I want?
I should mention that cyano made a hostile takeover on my tank 2 months ago. After cleaning my skimmer it collected 1/3rd cup of very dark skimmate then stopped. Then I changed the configuration as I described above. Any advice? I look forward to any reply I can get.

i don't have much advice for ya.. i can say that wet foam has gotten some more admirers lately.
i personally run my euro as wet as i can given the depth the manufaturer says it should be set at (plug and play).

anywa, the board has been a little slow tonight but this will bump you back up there to the top where maybe someone will know more about becketts than this guy.

Cyano Magnet- Look up the Precision Marine Web sight and get the contact info off of there. I don't have it right off hand. Call and talk to Michael Sigman- he usually answers the phone. He will be able to instruct you on how to set the skimmer properly to get the most efficient use out of it.

I use a PM Bullet 3 and run the water level a few inchs above the bottom of the reaction chamber where, it churns with white bubbles. I use a gate valve to get the water level right and it is fed from a mak 4. I also leave the air open 3/4 to full.
