I hoave recently purchased a new home, I will be moving in a few weeks. How the heck do I move my tanks safely? Several of my leathers are now attached to multiple rocks as well. I have no place to put my fish/corals while i move, I dont want to kill the tank either. any suggestions?

I attached a pic of my tank taken with my camera phone so its not the best pic in the world... the toadstool is not open to its fullest as it has gotten so big it is up against the front glass and I had just finished cleaning the inside of the glass. I also disturbed some of the LPS as well so it appears a bit shriveled

How far are you moving? I moved across town and lost nothing. I used the 18 gallon rubber maid containers to transport the live stock. Get one more container that you think you will need. It will come in handy. I see you have a sand bed. If it were me I would ditch it and start with a new one once you move. Also, have some fresh salt water on hand at your new place. When you get to the bottom of the tank you will have some nasty water that will need to be tossed. Get one helper it will make things go alot smoother. If that a 75?

I moved my 75 across town without messing with the sand bed.

I used a furnature dolly and had a rental truck with a ramp.

I took out all of the livestock and liverock and put them into seperate containers, coolers, buckets, etc.

Have plenty of newly made saltwater at the new house so that you can effectively do a good WC at the same time.

I lost a firefish that swam into one of the base rocks that I did not remove from the tank. Everything else survived.

Eat your Wheaties that day. It's going to be a long one.

I used 2 5gallon buckets to move my 10 gallon. :)

If your leathers are attatched to more than one rock, it's time to frag them! Frag them before you move, so they have a chance to heal in thh tank water they're living in now.

Or you could give each one a tub/bucket of it's own when you move.

BTW is that capnella on the left? that thing is HUGE!
