They are on my glass in the morning in my office tank & look like coraline algea but they scrape off easily. I see some on the mushrooms but they do not seem to be affecting them at all??

Thanks
Andy

They are Flatworms of some type. They will start to affect the mushrooms once the population increases.

Yep, flatworms. I'd siphon out what I can and look into natural controls like some small wrasses (sixline, leopards) to keep their numbers in check. They aren't dangerous to most organisms, but they can bloom to unsightly populations.

In my experience, and from what I've heard from others, those clear/white flatworms don't reproduce into plague numbers that the reddish-brown ones do. I'd say leave them alone and enjoy them.

Mine died out. I wish i still had them.

If you like the look of FLATWORMS,leave em. If ya want a LOT more, leave em. If you dont, get a turkey baster and get em the HELL outta there.

I still have clear/white ones. They stay on the glass and do not bother anything.
