I have a Candy Coral (small) with around 10 heads/growths. I recently noticed that the rich pink/red color is a bit faded and looks very pale. Any thoughts?

That happens depending upon lighting. I have few heads in a tank, one which is lower and gets more actinic than 10000k light has a very deep red fleshy bit around the outside. While another one is higher up and gets more 10000k, the fleshy bit has turned almost greenish (similar to the centers).

Some pictures would help give an idea to how pale you mean. But basically yah, lighting often affects corals, especially for something like a candy cane, chances are it went from some NO lighting in the LFS to your 175W metal halide and is getting a tad overpowered.
