I almost have a attached greenhouse project complete, here is a shot into it tonight.I will install a 400 watt 20k on a mover over the glass tank this weekend.
I just got a 3rd 300 gallon fiber glass vat that is longer than a Rubbermaid 300 and made by a new company.I will bury it 8" at the bottom to make it a sump.
I'll overflow the 180 glass tank that is set low on cinder blocks for easy coral vewing at the top, and also one of the Rubbermaid vats will overflow into the new 300 gallon sump.
The other Rubbermaid will stand alone with a 8" counter current skimmer.
just thought the 20k halide glow looked nice tonight while I was messin in there:)
I'll take another shot later of the new 300 gallon style vat. They are made by Freeland Industries and over 6ft long

Looks really good!
But Freeland Industries isn't a new company. I have a 60 gal tub by them that I bought used 3 years ago.

I was thinking the same thing...

I would throw (figurativly) a couple more blocks under the middle of the tank.

They must just be new to my farm supply store then:)

Mabey I probably should add some 2xs or more blocks for safe measure.
I have seen alot set like that before with no problems...except for a acrylic.

The halides will really only be used once in a while to supplement the sun seasonably..so I'm using 20ks since I just like the glow.I may try some 15ks as well.

here is a little better shot of one of the shrooms.

I need to get a 5 gallon tank to use like a glass bottom boat to take coral shots in the vats these are 2ft deep at the bottom of one of the 300 gallon Rubbermaids
