Well, just that, I have had a flame angel for about 3 months now and have had no issues with him, within the last few days he has started to enjoy munching on my xenia. Is there anything that can be done aside from getting rid of him or the xenia. He seems to leave the other GSP, zoos and mushrooms alone. If I can catch him I can get a store credit for him, but he is a gorgeous fish and has been the fish in the tank the longest, so we have a kind of attachment to him, albeit for a short period of time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Should I catch him and rub his nose in it and tell him no? Swat him on the nose with newspaper? Spray him with a squirt from the water bottle?

Xenia grows like a weed to begin with so letting it munch on it should keep both you and your angel happy.

Well worst case scenario is that I am out the whole 12 dollars I paid for the xenia. lol. It ahs been growing quite fast and has only been in there about 2 weeks. I have noticed that he started out eating the little tiney new arms coming out but has since munched off a few fingers of it here and there.

I may be looking for an angel to munch on my xenia soon: it's taking over my tank. Consider him a blessing. If you really love your xenia more than him (is it a him?), send it my way!

Ranger, I'd much rather have a Flame angel than Xenia, wouldn't you?
Now, Xena! That's a different story. 8O

I find a good firm "NO!" and a stern look are enough for my fish.

My first instinct was to just run some bare wires from the wall socket into the tank and hit him with some volts, but after my last law suit I thought better of it. Boy, those PETA people sure can scream at 110V. Anywho, obviously the xenia isn't as important as the flame, but I was just curious if there wasn't some old wives tale passed down from generation to generation in the keebler elf colonies that maybe I hadn't heard of for dettering it. Thanks anyway.
