coralvue or xm bulb?

I was wondering which bulb is a better bulb...a 10k 175 watt coralvue or xm bulb?

XM, hands down. Very good quality bulbs with consistent color. Can't say the same about Coralvue.

coral vue is garbage. xm is good if you dont have electronic ballast. phoenix are damn good. i recommend phoenix.

Between the XM and coralvue bulbs I would (and do) use the XM. I have not heard good things about the CV bulbs.

I have 14000k coralvues and acually love em.

I also use the XMs 250W. They are great. Coralife bulbs do not compare in my opinion. XM are high quality with great color.

i've had no problem with my cv's....i'd go with phoenix if it was a choice, but it obviously isn't....
my advice is to go and look at area tanks.....choose the bulb you like best, because when nobody's around, you still have to look at your tank...

Good to hear. I,ve been running Ushio 175w 10K bulbs on my Icecaps. I just purchased a couple of Coralvue 14Kbulbs after a friend has had good luck with them.
