Any tips on what to feed this guy? He eats anything I throw in the tank, but he seems awfully freakin skinny to me, in fact he looks so skinny I fear for him. I thought he would fatten up with time after I got him, but I think he is actually getting skinnier as he gets longer.

I feed him some flakes which he goes crazy for, brine shrimp because I still have some, fresh frozen flounder and fresh shrimp that we buy for ourselves.

Anything I should be feeding that I am not? I haven't read anything about them having a real specific diet, but I might of missed something.

Is he excusing himself from the table during meals, or right after? Fish bulimia is a serious thing, Bry.

If he's eating like a pig but continuing to lose weight, could he possibly have an internal worm of some sort?

Good point, Chris. Bryan turn off the Karen Carpenter music and see if it helps

You guys are really funny, I wish I had bulimia, cause then I wouldn't be so freakin fat.

I am upping him to 2 meals a day instead of the one that they have been getting

That is a good idea Bry, I think they do better as grazers anyway - kinda' like an anthias. A few meals a day are much better.

You can also try soaking any frozen food in Selcon which I feel ups the nutrition quite a bit. Soak the food for a few minutes as it is thawing, put it in a net and rinse with tank water before your feed it though, you don't want the excess nutrients in your tank.

since i started to keep fairy wrasses i started feeding 3 times a day, just a squeese off of the feeding tube and everyone in the tank seems a lot happier.
