24x18 custom tank - any design suggestions?

I'm planning on having a friend build me a custom acrylic tank. I'm thinking 24W 18D 16H. It will be primarily a ricordia/zoanthid tank with a few lps as well. I'll probably light it with a 150MH lamp. No sump. Any suggestions on design or should I go with the basic rectangular configuration? I currently have a 5g running with a hang on refugium. I could have the rear 4 inches setup in this manner - thoughts? I also typically run a hang-on filter on my tanks - primarily for water circulation, but also for periodic carbon or other media. Not sure I can use a hang-on with the acrylic bracing. Any ideas/comments on this?

Honestly, Set up a sump. You're building a 30 gallon tank. Even a 10 gallon would work. Since you're having it custom built, you could put on an external overflow so you don't loose tank space.
