I'll be visiting the Seattle & Portland areas in the summer and I was wondering if anyone in these areas had any recommendations for LFS. They don't nessecarily have to be Marine only because I am also into planted tanks & dwarf cichlids.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Vic [veng68]

Fish Gallery Pets in Renton (both) These places are seperate from eachother and are managed seperately. The fish room is HUGE! I bought all my africans here cause they have about 40 tanks of all different species. The owner goes diving in malawi and victoria twice a year and brings stuff back. I had 116 in my 200g before I went SW.

Fish Gallery Pets in Kent (both)

Indoor Reef (salt) Tacoma - Only SW place I go to these days. Really good for fish and they can get anything...not so much for corals but I dont know much about them anyway to know for sure. www.indooreef.com

Midway Pets (both, not so much salt) - I only go to this one for cheap sand and its the only place I can get tonga branch LR. Kind of a hole in the wall place but not bad. The fish arent bad but they could use some TLC.

I had a good visit but I could not find Waves.

I tried to find Waves but I just could not see the shop. I kept on seeing The Oregonian Newpaper Building and a bunch of Industrial Parks (no luck finding the store). THe Address I was using was 15844 Upper Boones Ferry Road.. Did they move?

Cheers,

they did move.. the building they were in had some moisture issues and the landlord ousted 'em.
he is in an industrial park now... i don't think i would consider his Upper Boones Ferry address to be an industrial park.
i believe he is now located on Sequoia Parkway .. either that or Carmen Dr.

if you are coming back again (still here) i would suggest Upscales and Soutas Salt Water as well.
Upscales is very close to where you were hunting for Waves.. maybe you made it there?

i drove by there today and you probably do have the correct address it would likely be Upper Boones Ferry.
these roads in portland with a "ferry" on them are really odd.
next time you are planning a trip i will gladly give you some directions before you go.

so how did oyu like Upscales new cube tank?
pretty sweet if you ask me.
