Hello:

I'm new to this forum and I have a question about Rowaphos. I have just added a small amount to a 125 gal reef tank due to a fairly noticable cyano outbreak that I couldn't get under control with water changes, skimming.

I have a refugium with Macros as well.

The Rowaphos has been in for a few days now and the cyano problem is remarkably improved.

What I don't want to happen is to totally remove the phosphates and destroy the Macros in the Refugium. For this reason I put in about 75% of the mfg's recommended dose.

I don't know if that is possible or not.

Does anyone think this could be a concern.

Thanks

Kevin

Dont worry about losing the macros, they will be just fine.

The GFO is a binder and since it binds the P04 it is better to use smaller amount and change it more often.
