I have noticed in the tank the I have these tiny whit pod things and at the end of the pod is what looks like a little feather. They seem to have attached themsevels to the LR and eggcrate.
I'm sure it's harmless. Sounds like sponges to me as well, but it could be other things. If you can give more detail descriptions and/or photos, we can probably ID better.
