Lighting Help

Hi All

Here are a few questions I have. I am starting up a 90 gal RR AGA and have built my own canopy for the lighting. I currently have 2 250 watt ARO electronic ballast MH retro's and 2 ARO electronic ballast VHO retro's. I need to know what the best bulbs would be to run. I am leaning towards the 20K XM for the MH. Some suggestions on MH/VHO bulbs would be appriciated.

i have found colour spectrum to be a fairly individual,


the 14k mh is good with artinics, but thats what i like, some one else my like somthing else, there is no perfect lighting guide

Lighting is a personal preference. With the 250 MH and VHO actinics you will be good. IMO the 20kk bulbs leave a bit to be desired as far as PAR is concerned. I think for growth you would be better in the 10kk-14kk range.

I have the XM 20K bulbs and they look nice. I did just order some 15K XM bulbs though also. Like people have said before, the color is a personal preference.
