Has anyone heard any news about a "prebuilt" - Hamilton 3' Deluxe Aluminum Hoods w/ Two Metal Halides :?:

I want 2 bulb MH lamp and i cant find any that are in the 250W - 400W range other than this one. Heres the catch... 36" L tank 24" Deep. So 400W is what i really need. :?

I could be wrong but the balast determines what bulbs you can run, so the type of hood isnt important as long as its built for metal halides.

So if the hood has 250 or 175 in it, change the ballast to ones that can run 400 then pop the bulbs in.

I think...like I said I could be wrong.

250s should be fine for 24" deep.

i know many people who use 250 watt over 24 inch deep tanks.
do you have a canopy you can retrofit or can you hang pendant lighting? it will give you more options.
